The Sorcerer of Sankthans

He stood looking into the sunglade that trebled over the surface of water. He looked down into the water. His face was covered in white skin patches starting sporadically from his chin going up towards his lip where it vanished only to reappear on the cheekbone and ear lobe. On the other side, it was a slightly pale patch on the cheek. He wore a wheatish wizard robe.

The reflection scurried with the wind. The land was scampering too. He stood on solid land but water was mightier. The square land floated along the wind. And it was not the only floating island. All around the sorcerer were little islands, not still but moving slowly. These were none other but the Sankthans or as the Nishkari called them the Solstice Islands.

The fishermen were setting up traps in the mighty suncress. There were trawls and gillinets across the river. A few young lads sat with fishing lines baited with lures on the edge of moving land.
