It's been long since I've written a poem. Have I missed writing a poem? Definitely, yes. But more than that, I've missed observing a poem; in the girl in my neighbourhood, playing hide and seek alone, in the baby next to her home, learning new words. I've missed seeing words floating like dust in the sunrays silently invading through my bedroom window, hiding openly like grey hair on my mother's head. I've missed looking for unfinished verses in the backspaced words and unseen texts, and missed measuring spaces between lines in my fingers entangled with yours. Have I missed writing a poem?
