Each galaxy had four quadrants which were constantly expanding as new worlds were created and discovered. In Andromeda, Cadence was the most recently discovered, and also the youngest planet. From outskirts of the galaxy, the planet appeared to be a murky mass of brown and green. Only upon entering its atmosphere, its impeccable beauty became apparent. Its settlers had handpicked the best elements from all of their previous planets to build their own perfect heaven on Cadence. Its wild forests were transformed into cascading gardens and parks, with luminous blue beaches skirting its coastline. The suburbs were thoughtfully constructed to offer the best views and amenities. There was a provision of cheap liquor, affordable healthcare, superior schooling, and easy adoption services. Cadence was the planet everyone wanted to vacation at. Young, liberal and loud - the planet’s government was sloppy and its laws lax. Any and everything from the Thirteenth could pass through them and spread out to the rest of the universe.. Without any prior warning or identification, royally evading the security check - a huge, heavily armed spacecraft carrying illicit goods entered Cadence and landed on its public spaceport. Zack - a short, skinny man-boy stepped out of the spacecraft. He wore powerful bifocals, an oversized pullover and baggy jeans. He walked over to the guards who were busy playing cards and dumped a wad of cash on their table. Meanwhile, other Tigers started unloading. The security head looked at the cash and made a call. A few seconds later, official airport trucks were headed their way. The truck drivers and Tigers loaded up the trucks with merchandises that would be delivered to different Tiger bases on the planet. KG and Gwen hitched a lift on one of these trucks. Mave was hyper – hopping about, toying with packages, asking questions nobody answered - a five minute journey to Cecilia’s house 40 kilometres away - felt like forever.
