The Imperfect Chronicle No matter how hard you try to move ahead, people in today's world never miss an opportunity to pull you back and because of this, I lost her because she couldn't bear the trauma of going back. Present: Today, there was a bit different smile enveloping her face which I noticed when we sat together at the breakfast table. She was not making eye contact with me for the first time in life, but like a fool, I ignored this fact because I never knew this was going to be our last meal together. (Read full in caption) Past: 2012, I vividly remember this year because I met her in a place where you can least expect to fell in love with someone- the red light area in a metropolitan city. As I walked on the roads of the filthy street along with my friends, I was kind of excited and a bit of fear was curbing my heart, for I was about to lose my virginity tonight. "Have you brought the protection with you?" This question brought me off my dreamland to the real world, and seeing me in a condition like this made my friends laugh at me. They were teasing me that the kid is about to become a man and such useless stuff. As I reached the ending of the street, I stopped in front of a 3 storeyed house and all of my friends were excited except me, for I was scared of being caught by police, etc. The old lady, who seemed to be the owner or concubine of the place was mighty pleased to see my friends, as they were her regular customers, but I was a newbie there. The mistress asked me to choose a girl for myself. My eyes were wandering all over the place, my heart was beating at a rapid pace and I wanted to run away from there, but soon my eyes fell on her. That was the very first time I saw her, sitting in a corner, lighting up the Marlboro cigarette in a corner. With trembling hands, I pointed my fingers towards her and the owner said something to her in a local language, which I couldn't understand. She asked me to follow her and she took me to a room and as she bolted the door, a sudden fear struck my heart, and I started perspiring recklessly. Watching my predicament made her laugh and she started laughing at me hysterically. She lit another cigarette and asked me to sit on the bed. She went near the window and asked me if it is my first time; to which I replied with a nod because it seemed my throat had lost its voice. Call me a dork, but I forgot the purpose for which I came there and I was just admiring her watch smoke, which was kind of cool for me.
