// Plight of an Indian woman // Part -1 Let's not be an activist but we can try of being a human being . You know , our Indian society is full of diversity whether be it cultural , linguistic , religion ,races or colour . But the one rigid thing with regard to our book is the patriarchal nature of this society & the patrilineage system , patriarchal ie paternal authority or paternally dominated & patrilineage is paternal descent . It's a society where a girl is confined to the kitchens only . Nowadays because of tech . & various other factors, for ex- awareness among the people , a girl is capable of being so called literate & so if she is a bit inferior to the boy/man of the house she is married & sent away . Actually , I agree with the thoughts of " DENIS KANDIYOTI " that a girl is expected to perform three kinds of duties , the first being the CHILDISH (It is expected by the family to behave so ) then comes the second of being SEXY(it is expected by her so called husband &the third or the last of being MOTHERLY ( By the kids ). In a true sense , I don't any of us can disagree to it until you get in a prestigious service . Where the story begins is when a 2 year old girl is provided kitchen set & th boy is provided car .This is where it all starts & we inculcate the norms of the society from the childhood itself . . . . .
