What am I if not a wilted flower, Craving for a drop of rain, a tasteful touch of the ageless sun. Butterflies to flutter, bees to buzz Tickling my petals, kissing me along. It's autumn, the time of malaise My life walks at the brink of death. The gusty waves are swirling around Shaking the tree, tossing me hard Leaving it bare, meagre in the town. My shades have changed, they say From saxe to brown; I have faded. No one to behold, no one to admire And I am no longer beautiful, Devoid of fragrance, devoid of charm. I wish I could blossom again And wield the brightest colours, Like the sun emerges a downcast sky. But this too is a chimera, I feel, I am too gloom to bloom again. What am I, if not a wilted flower! #dndwow #dndwow233 #yqdnd #yqbaba #versesofstella #poemtime #wiltedflower #swet_a Collaborating with Democrats & Dissenters
