As the day was ending, the thing was coming to exi

As the day was ending, the thing was coming to existence. Emerging it's head from the darkness of the night. Reminding her about 'the past', whenever she thought she was finally in peace, it reminded her of all the mistakes she has done. The wounds from which she tries to recover everyday, but it won't let it heal. It keeps on reminding her like an alarm with no turn off button.
She was afraid of the darkness as it brought sorrow. Losing so important that was equivalent to breathing. It reminded her that dark memory. She could hardly sleep. Closing her eyes opened the passage for the monsters of the past, who fed upon her fears. She was very scared. She eagerly waits for the light as it killed the darkness but she was also aware of the fact that it will come again and haunt her.
She stands up every night for a fight, struggling hard, thinking why she isn't able to get through this fear. She hated the darkness much more than she feared it. Trying to overcome it every night but then one day she quits.
She quits trying, until the darkness gulped her completely. As time passed she became used to the darkness and to her surprise, she rather started loving it. The monsters she was once afraid of she started loving the fact of not knowing what's around her. Not caring about a damn thing about the world. And rather fighting the dark, she started letting it in. The mistakes that she has done in the past, from which she used to run, which she never wanted to face, she stopped fighting them. She was learning from them.

And after learning from the past, finally, like a caterpillar, after so much of suffering in the silent, one day like the butterfly as she became one and flew away from the darkness.
