History in middle school. In class seven we had the history of Shivaji beginning with his birth to death in the form of chapters. I read the whole book at a go as soon as dad bought a new set of text books. History was an exciting world for me where the past came alive and I thrived in it. It was an adventure for a young fertile mind like mine.It continued to interest me right uptil the tenth class.I always scored good marks in social studies because I didn't have to memorise the lengthy answers. And from this was born my craze for historical monuments and travelling to exotic places rich in history. It fills me with great awe and admiration for the skilled craftsman ship displayed in the temple architecture and the great Engineering Marvels despite the lack of sophisticated technology of the present era.
