Darling,
i don't want to be inconsiderate of your ambition,
so here I go, ripping my heart apart into a million,
each, to a missing piece,
grievous.
' cause some goodbyes are forever.
thus, this heart of mine is convinced of your no retrievals.
a thousand dreads until an unmourned death,
nay, I defy to climb upon this pyre of another stake.

so, let me just pick up these broken pieces &
design an altar rather than a lethal pyre.
just in case, if I lack warmth & light,
I will just burn down your memories,
one after the other or, so.
my altar shall burn fiery aglow,
unless your memories become a frivolity,
until my heart embraces itself as its sole priority.
My darling, self-love sometimes is an utmost necessity.

I feel too much. passionate. crazy. sensitive. emotional.
maybe. these traits are my blessing.
a label I proudly carry.
I'm not guilty or ashamed of
the tears I shed for you darling!
cuz, I know your heart too well.
I have searched for the warmth in your eyes
but they seemed deserted.
yet the empath in me whispered,
"it's okay, let's work this out together, darling".

I know your pain and your brokenness.
you don't reveal your sorrows
but camouflage every bit of it with
your silence, laughter, & in your poetries.
I knew too little of your story
but even that tiny part of truth
hit me hard to my soul.
my darling, its okay to lose in love,
its okay to get your heartbroken,
not because you simply should
but to understand love, life,
to grow and be wise in the process
to find a path to healing.

boy! its been a while now that you and I,
we both have shared our narratives.
now as I stand in a distance and steal a glimpse of you,
I noticed that
you now retain that lost warmth in your gaze now,
the kind of warmth that can melt a thousand hearts.
you now have that destructive smile back again,
perfect enough to enchant a soul.

I know too well about you now.
you own a beautiful soul & I'm totally proud of.
as I stand far alone and watch you laugh
amongst a host of familiar faces, I realized
that now you own an entirely healed heart,
a different world of your own,
impressive enough to etch a comfy space
for everything but, me.
