White When Desires Rise When desires rise, like whispered flames, Reason fades, forgetting names. A single touch, a glance, a spark, And shadows dance within the dark. Logic waits by reason’s door, Silent now, not heard before, As passion’s pull, fierce and swift, Carries the heart in a headlong drift. The mind’s calm voice grows soft and thin, Drowned by the storm that brews within. A tethered soul breaks loose in flight, Chasing stars in the dead of night. For when desires come into play, The world dissolves in shades of gray. A fevered dream, a hunger deep, Where thoughts lie bound, and senses leap.
