बच्चों को जब तक नींद ना आई

लेकिन मां को भय था भोर का

कभी सीधी कभी उल्टी पड़ती
बार बार करवटे बदलती

झूठे सपनों में रोटी आई

भूख थी ज़्यादा पेट था ख़ाली
मजबूरी में फिर बालू खाली

भीतर पूरा रेगिस्तान हो गया
जीवन ही वीरान हो गया

ना पत्थर थी ना लक्कड़ थी
अब चेतना बिल्कुल जड़ थी

बच्चों से वज्रपात सहे ना
काश कभी ये भोर भए ना
