White SOMETHING LOOK AT-96 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY I AM A WIDOW Do i need to be told what to do, what not to, how should I look, what to wear, what to eat, how to interact and conduct in this heartless world of yours? For you he was just another man, a friend in the fair weather. You have lost just a friend. Do you know what have I lost? I have lost my whole world. With him gone my wishes, my passions to live a life. But I am breathing, breathing for the sake of his love to keep him alive Have you ever fathomed a woman's love for her husband. No man has ever been able to do so and you are just another of the same species. You can never understand what he meant to me. I don't even expect you to understand. Lett me live with my tears. They are exclusively mine. Let them drench me with all his colours. Even at the cost of the world, its wealth and splendour I can hardly part with it, part with my emotions, my feelings, half of my heart and soul. Do you doubt my integrity? If at this age if you need a woman, what is the wrong if i go for another man. If a man can marry after the death of his wife, why can't a woman. Is this world only for men, their whims and caprices? Don't think I will be a prey to someone's passion. There is none in this world who stands equal to my man, at least for me he is head and shoulder above others. Men should understand Women better read them, their body language and unusual showers of love. Change the way you think, or else you will only burn yourself And you being a woman, I expected you to stand by, but you only added to my misery, made my wounds fresh and bleed more. Do you know what is in store for you in future? If you are not with me, never come to my life, add to my sorrow, make my bleeding heart bleed more. People I call my own, from you, my expectations were too high. You never came forward when i needed you the most. You never solved my problems, you can only end up adding a few more. Can you refrain from giving me advice and let me live on my own? Leave me alone I know how to stand on my legs and withstand life, its ebb and flow tide. Neither I need your sympathy, compassion nor I have an ear to what you say. I know my rights and. understand my obligations. To do justice to my role as a mother I will never be in black and white, reincarnate with all my colours and will never allow my kids to suffer. If at all Iam to make a compromise between love and life, I will choose the latter with my heart always beating for my love. ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #Sad_Status SOMETHING LOOK AT-96 BY-SMRUTI RANJAN MOHANTY I AM A WIDOW Do i need to be told what to do, what not to, how should I look,

You accept everything as Thy mercy Without doubting His integrity. For Him, you are here For Him your family, friends And all that you value the most. It is His grace Never claim it as a matter of right God will take care of everything. You will find His grace and will In what people say your bad days And reconcile to it with a smile on your lips What is good and bad, You do not know. Your vision and perception are limited. You know not what lies beyond. How can you say A situation is good or bad When you do not know its outcome. Your God knows it better. Leave it to Him. He is your destiny, means and end Your cherished object and fulfilment If you do not believe in God, Be your own God And see the universe As an expansion of yours. You are for yourself So also for others When you expand You become the Whole When you contract You become a solitary individual Struggling for existence. There is no reason Why a drop of water can not visualise Itself as the oceana. If you do not believe in God, There is no problem, If you realise your essential nature. You live in a thousand bodies, Die and born every moment. You are everywhere Your smile and tears, Happiness and sorrow, Agony and ecstasy are but the same. You eat in thousand mouths Speak in thousand voices You are Krishna and Sakuni Bhima, Draupadi and Dusasan Karna and Arjuna Bhisma and Aswathama Dhritarastra, Bidur and the beheaded Belalasen You are the vanquished Duryodhan And victor Yudhistira You are the tears and smile The wound bleeding perpetually You enjoy and endure all these dispassionately Without being involved in it You are truth, bliss and absolute You have nothing to do, Nothing to accomplish Only to realise Who you are actually Smruti Ranjan Mohanty© smrutiweb.wordpress.com smrutitanuja.blogspot.com https://www.facebook.com/titutiku/ ©Smruti Ranjan Mohanty #moon_day

White "The Brahmin who could not eat -3" "Hmm! All right. Lakshmi, you are the Goddess 😇 of wealth and good luck! You go and convince the Brahmin to release Bidhata," said Lord Vishnu. So Lakshmi knocked at the Brahmin's door. "Yes? Oh, is it Goddess Lakshmi? How come you are here?" "Release Bidhata," she pleaded. This annoyed the Brahmin who shouted, wife, get me a broom 🧹 to spank this self-assuming Goddess! Hearing this, Lakshmi fled. It was then decided to send Goddess Saraswati, the Goddess of education and knowledge to negotiate with the Brahmin. The Brahmin heard her out and again lost his temper. "Get my broom. This Goddess gave me a tough time learning the alphabet. How dare she assume I will listen to her? Saraswati fled too. Lord Shiva decided to give it a try. He too arrived at the Brahmin's doorstep. Now, the Brahmin was an ardent devotee of Lord Shiva. He bowed low and with folded hands, said, "Sire, I am blessed by your presence and cannot refuse to do as you say. But I will have you know how Bidhata spoiled my happiness all these years!" The Brahmin related his plight. Shiva listened intently and when the Brahmin finished, Shiva said, "Yes, I understand. But do as I say and I will give you a permanent abode at Kailash when you need it. The Brahmin acceded and opened his mouth wide to let the frog out. After this incident, things changed for the Brahmin. Poverty did not trouble him and he saw happy times with his family. Eventually, after his demise, he took up permanent residence at Mount Kailash, Lord Shiva's home 🏠! ©Sanjoy Khuman #The Brahmin who could not eat -3

White "The Brahmin who could not eat -2" "How is this Brahmin, whom I cursed at birth, enjoying a full meal? I have to do something." He transformed himself into a golden frog and jumped into the fish curry and rice the Brahmin was scooping up! The Brahmin did not see him. Instead, he rolled the frog into a chappati and ate it! Oh yes! Unwittingly, the Brahmin swallowed the God who had come to stall his meal! Of course, now there was no stopping the Brahmin from feasting till his stomach was about to burst! Suddenly, the Brahmin heard some noise. "Huh? Is someone calling me? Oh yes, dear Brahmin! It is Bidhata yelling in your full tummy, begging to be let out. "Help! Let me out! Let me out!" The Brahmin curiously cupped his ears and said, "Aiee? Who is calling me?" "It is me, Bidhata," said the God of Fate. "I am in your stomach. You swallowed me with your meal! Let me out!" In my stomach? I understand! You must have been skulking around trying to mess up my meal. Ho-ho, I ate you up! Ha-ha-ha! Now stay there, in my tummy! You have given me so much of grief. You deserve to be trapped. Saying so, the Brahmin reached home, not allowing Bidhata to go out! Now when 'fate' is trapped, the repercussions are enormous "We have no one controlling fate, there is chaos everywhere, uttered everyone to Vishnu. White "The Brahmin who could not eat" "This child will never eat his fill! His meals will forever be interrupted. Bidhata has ordained it!" an astrologer told the parents of a baby Brahmin boy. Bidhata was the God of every one's fate. As, the child grew up and he was never able to eat food to a full stomach. One day, the Brahmin was invited to the King's palace for a meal. "Come what may, this time I will eat to my heart 's content," he assured his wife. The king welcome him and invited him to sit at the banquet spread out for him. The Brahmin began to eat. He took his first bite and "Booom-bang!" A clay pot hanging on the awning above, fell into his plate, shattering it into shards. His meal was ruined! Angry at fate, the Brahmin took out his ire on the servants. Hearing the commotion, the King inquired, "Dear Brahmin, what happened?" The Brahmin showed him the ruined meal. "Oh no, I am sorry! Please stay for another meal," the King humbly requested. The King went to the kitchens and himself served the Brahmin. The Brahmin gleefully gorged on to the food. I guess fate was looking the other way because the Brahmin managed to get into the meal's second course without interruption. Oh, oh! Suddenly, Bidhata noticed.
