My family and other animals My family and other animals Are as amazing as laughable Of course they are sanguine Against all odds and distractions Ain't it odd animals are a family No not at all when animal's a family, Gerald Durrell sure got it right, He lampooned his family when he could have, Without them giving a fight, His elder brother Lawrence was no pushover though, A writer on his own he also was renowned, My family is not dissimilar, Always ready with words to bandy, Animals too with us are no bore, The naughty dog no not my brother, Or the sly cat you'll mistake my sister, Guinea Pig, no not me, So what not everything they say will you believe. #mybookpoem #poemtime #napowrimo #yqbaba #yqdidi #myfamily
