"What is the rate?" asked the guy on his bike.
"7500 For a Single Night,Fixed rate Sir."
The Middle aged woman bargained.
She was A Prostitute,Yes she was.She used to sell pleasure,She used to sell attention,She used to sell her Body. Her Body used to be with different people every night but her soul belonged to that one person she was married to, her Paralysed Husband.
"Honey I am Home."
She kissed his forehead while he complimented her outfit as she looked beautiful in A Typical Saree. For Him she was a Call centre worker with the night shifts,Little did he know The dark secrets within.
"It's so bad that you have to work so hard for me.How was the work though?"
He asked her while her face turned pale.
"Oh It was good,I am getting promotion next week."
She tried to fake a smile knowing that promotion means increment in her charge per night.
"I Love You and thank You so much for what you are doing for us."
He hugged her tightly while tears escaped her eyes.
"Why are You crying?"
He asked with a worried face.
"Just something went in my eyes."
She lied while he Blowed air on her eyes which ended up in a sweet Kiss.
All The sufferings she goes through every night vanished in a flash.

She awoke to the delightful chirping of birds, stirring slightly in a drowsy state before turning to the other side of the bed. To her dismay, it was empty and cold. With closed eyes, she called out, "Arjun, stop it... I know you're here." Even though she sensed his presence, he responded, "Yes, baby, I'm here, but I have to leave soon." Fully opening her eyes, she asked, "Go where?" He smiled and replied, "To the place I came from." Holding his hand tightly, she apologized, "I'm sorry, Arjun. Whatever happened last night was..." Before she could finish her sentence, he withdrew his hand and completed her statement, "Was the end of everything between us, Anjali... Yes, it's over now." Shocked, she pleaded, "What do you mean it's over? Listen, baby, I'm sorry... please don't leave." Tears streaming down her face, she tried to stop him, but the next thing she heard was the sound of a car colliding with Arjun. Seeing him lying in a pool of blood, she screamed in horror.
Hearing her scream, a young man and a woman approached her. The man asked, "What happened, ma'am?" She pointed towards Arjun's lifeless body and recounted the entire story. Desperate for help, she begged for assistance. When the man turned back to look, he found nothing there. He approached her and said, "It was just a dream, ma'am. Now, take these pills." He handed her a few tablets that he had with him. She smiled in relief, realizing it was only a dream, and turned to him, amazed, asking, "But who are you, and what are you doing here?" He replied, "I am Advaith, your housekeeper, ma'am. Arjun sir appointed me." Determined to confront Arjun, she muttered, "Let him come. I will ask how he can appoint someone without informing me." She swallowed the pills.
With teary eyes, Advaith stepped outside and said to the girl accompanying him, "Suman... I was just 16 when my father passed away, and since then, my mother has been mentally unstable. She doesn't know or remember anything except my father's name and face. Now tell me, do you still want to marry me and spend your life with us here?" With a smile, she replied, "Yes, I would love to spend my life becoming a mother to a mother who is a child." She embraced him tightly, expressing her love for him.

There is a kind of bliss in the streets of Mumbai's Seepz. You cross them and you see colours that just dazzle you: the lyrical callings of rickshaw drivers desperate to be heard, the Vadapav vendor preparing the delicacies he sells every seven minutes, and the comb seller who smile back no matter how many combs have he managed to sell that day.

Conversations you overhear are interlacing stories no novel can tell you. A woman talking about the gift her husband bought on her 35th Birthday, Few grandpas' in their 70s reminiscing about their teenage days, A man discussing his political ideology with his friend and a 7-year-old boy trying to make excuses to miss tuition class with his mother .

My heart always finds peace in the oldness of cities and in the rawness of their people. Perhaps, I would always choose the rhythmic voice of a street vendors over the tall shopping malls. There is a kind of romanticism in just things being in their original way no matter how much they have aged.
