Rame Day:
Fathering
failures after failures
And
becoming rame
every second moment,
I masqueraded
to myself.
Guzzling
the pain
of life quietly,
I awaited
miracle to happen.
Nymph of heaven
came
at the prescribed time
to become
the partner of life.
Life became meaningful,
smile became sanguine.
Rame day
knocked my room,
when small baby girl,
so immaculate,
so divine
cried to drink
the nectar
from the nymph.
Heart beat
galloped
to give me
new recognition
as father.
As she jostled
to my bosom
to give me
the sweetest pain,
I thanked
the Almighty.
The rame day
winked at me
witnessing exudation
of my unique emotion. Rame Day:
Fathering
failures after failures
And
becoming rame
every second moment,
I masqueraded
to myself.

Steadfast tin soldier,
he knew what was in store.
The thunders plundered his ears,
the flashes revealed his soul.
He had no army to fight,
he had no captain to follow.

'Twas the breakneck draught,
and bombs of droplets that followed.
He had to hold his ground,
unwavered, unbound,
as the rain galloped past him,
and the winds whistled in background.

A rusting hand, was the enemy,
and the reason for his sorrow.
Age hath won this battle,
years had him as a spoil.
But he smiled in it's face, unmoved,
like that, was the prize of his toil. #YQWallWritings Challenge by Prabhat Nb nominated by Galaxi Chakma egged on by Satarupa Sinha

Weird I felt waking up on sand
My face and hands dug in sand
Fingers searched for something in sand
Smelt like a burning oven of sand
It was hot, terribly hot like desert sand

Eyes were heavy, limbs were in pain
Half of my body under great strain
My chest felt tight
As if tied with a twine
That passed from front to back
And through my chest
Through a hole that was drilled through my chest
Painful it was in body and mind
Beyond imagination by a sane mind

Where am I?
I tried to remember; tried very hard.
Strained to lift my head and to open my eyes.

Am I in the middle of some desert?
All I could see was miles of yellow sand
Neither even a plant nor tree
Broke the flow of the rolling dunes
Sky was pale blue, plane and clear
Not even a piece of cloud,
Even to break the monotonous gradient blue!
Yellow sands and blue sky!
