It never stops, does it? The pain--the earth-shattering pain, Of loving. This Goliath iceberg-- Filling up my chest, with frozen hurt. I thought it'd melt, soon enough. One poem penned, a second one-- Until, I'm on to, nearly, a thousand; And still, you're here--written, In between my words, my phrases. You've reserved all the pauses; Making them yours--as they've all been. "Goodbye," you said; yet, you're still here-- Bleeding into everything, I create; Duping me into believing--what? What, exactly, d'you want me to think? Because--because, I'm still here; Hanging on to I-don't-know-what. Tell me, clearly. For, I'm still lost; In this mind-breaking conundrum, That we've become.
