August 9th 2023 Crickets are chirping beside me tonight in the dark Making some noise they call out to anyone In unison they speak loud and clear as they hark The sound is familiar to each and everyone I'm smoking a cigarette while typing this down The wind blows the smoke in my direction Not much of a breeze in this really small town I just finished a joint which was part of my session There's rustling in the flower bed right next to me Some nocturnal insects crawl along the ground Creeping over the dirt, the soil and the debris Lots of bugs, of all types can be heard all around The moon is peeking out from behind the clouds A star to its right up above me in the dark sky Streetlights all along the road and all about The feeling is calmness and relaxation alright ©Schizology August 9th 2023 #august #poem✍🧡🧡💛 #Nature

August 5th 11:12 pm The crickets are noisy tonight They chirp back and forth Do they know its almost midnight? The loud sounds they should abort I remember one night years ago A cricket came inside my bedroom Woke me up at three in the morning It chirped like it was a playroom I heard it for an hour or two So loud it echoed in the ears I couldn't sleep for that time Not until the sound disappeared A few days later I had seen it I opened the window up a bit Pushed it toward the bottom It crawled out, the end of it Crickets are annoying to some Some find them very relaxing They can keep you up for hours Or they will have others napping ©Schizology August 5th 11:12 pm #august #poem #crickets
