the soaring eagle zooms in. he sees the target. down, down, down he goes. he nearly grasps the girl. yet, as he swoops down and sees her, he freezes mid-air and stare. the girl beneath him is alone and crying. the eagle is surprised; for her sobs awaken a pain in him. her cries touches a memory he forgot - a tearful girl he once knew. then, something strange happened; a sort of transformation took place and he became the boy he was before. "only learning empathy shall make you human again." you see, the eagle was cursed; turned into a powerful bird by a witch because he did not know how to show compassion. he was meant to soar the skies until he learns empathy. so, instead of coldly abducting a girl to do a mission, he felt pity for her; that broke the spell. it freed him. well, this isn't the normal love story; but empathy is the transcendence of latent selfishness and egocentrism; thus, can also be a lesson in love. for the whole point of loving is learning how to put oneself in the other's shoes and knowing how it feels to be in that specific situation... and when love is imbibed with that quality, then there shall be less pain in this world.
