I am a floret,
A rarest of the species
in today's society
that flourish with in
an altruistic heart
as a smile graces
an anonymous lip.
I blossom with a
deific virtue,
and burgeon when
I espy, a kid
running after a kite
or a damsel wishing
upon shooting star
or an octogenarian
counting beads of rosary.
For, my fragrance
is magical
which augments
with the ebbing of
happiness in this aeon. Day 6 of Worldrobe

I don't know whether it's accurate to the meaning. ______ Day 25 of Worldrobe Y for Ya'aburnee (Arabic) While the Arabic word ya'aburnee literally means "you bury me," the concept it represents goes far deeper than that (no pun intended). Ya'aburnee is a way to declare your hope that your loved one will outlive you because of how unbearable it would be to live without them. It is a gorgeous, painful expression of desire to spare yourself pain of a life without a person you love.  #Loss #yqbaba #YourQuoteAndMine #kefamayasays #Wordrobe #collabwithkef

My mother kept on
scolding my father
for his addiction of tea.
He still drank tea
four to five times, a day.
In the evening,
he brewed two cups,
one for ma and one for himself
even when ma said
she didn't want it.
She, drank it anyway though.

It's been two months
since my father suddenly
stopped drinking tea.
"Why don't you drink tea?"
asked ma one day.
"Because I'm not addicted to it,
I'm addicted to drinking it
with you.
Once you're gone,
I might never get over my addiction.
So, I better start practicing." I don't know whether it's accurate to the meaning.

Day 20 of Worldrobe T for Toska(Russian) Definition: The Russian word toska can be roughly translated to mean sadness or lugubriousness, but according to Lolita author Vladimir Nabokov, these English words don't come close to its real meaning. "No single word in English renders all the shades of toska. At its deepest and most painful, it is a sensation of great spiritual anguish, often without any specific cause. At less morbid levels it is a dull ache of the soul, a longing with nothing to l #yqbaba #YourQuoteAndMine #kefamayasays #Wordrobe #collabwithkef

My heart breaks a little everyday
when i find myself waiting;
it breaks more when i find
nothing to wait for.
As the days pass
inhaling my purposes,
I find their remnants at
the bottom of the hourglass
that can no longer be turned downside-up. Day 20 of Worldrobe

1:19 AM. If I can fall asleep
by the next half an hour,
I'd still have 6 hours of peace.
Is that why I want to sleep?
I still have it now. Peace.
In this silence and darkness of the night.
One last poem maybe.
No! It's always one last something,
an episode, a page, a quote, a reel.
That's how my circles are getting darker.
But, but I've already started reading.
2:23 AM. When did... Ah! Anyway now,
I'd sleep and either have a nightmare
or wake up to my parents shouting at each other.
With every night's end, there goes my peace away.
My dark circles, eye power, and dizzy days
are worth the serenity of insomnia. Day 18 of Worldrobe

"... Now, of my threescore years and ten, Twenty will not come again, And take from seventy springs a score, It only leaves me fifty more..." - Loveliest of Trees, The Cherry Now by A. E. The paintings, writings, readings
all go to one place-
trying to be somewhere else,
in someone else's story, shoe or garden.
They say, we ain't trees
we don't have roots to bind us,
but they are wrong, aren't they?
We call our roots, responsibilities.
Yet, we try to spread our branches
as far as possible. And yet again,
there are only 'seventy springs'
as Houseman had counted.
The leaves on our branches
will meet the November soon,
and our springs will end
without letting us see
what the ninety-nine percent
of the world had for us. "... Now, of my threescore years and ten,
Twenty will not come again,
And take from seventy springs a score,
It only leaves me fifty more..." - Loveliest of Trees, The Cherry Now by A. E. Housman

You start the mornings
With a gentle hug and small pecks,
Then brew some tea with extra sugar
And pour me my black,
sugarless coffee, without saying,
Then, we get sucked into the routine of
Bringing bread and butter,
And wine sometimes,
And on those day,
You stick small notes on the fridge
Reminding me of how you'll miss me or
How we'll make love once we return.
And when we finally return,
Too tired to even make dinner,
You let me be a cranky mess,
And silently tune on our songs.
It makes me want to live one more day,
For you, with you. Day 13 of Worldrobe

I take a few bones
from the spine that my mother grows
while standing up for herself,
against everyone else.
I take some sweat
from my father's hands
that have aged and got wet
due to working under
the scorching sun.
I take some blood
from my sisters and friends
who tell me the stories
of their jerk bosses and exes,
from whom they boldly walk away.
I finally wrap some skin of my own
that fosters the blood, bones and sweat
to build a home large enough
so that they all, who make me,
can call it a home of their own. This is my favourite word till now! ❤️

I was nothing like her.
Her, who was smiling on my screen.
It was 2:13 AM when I unblocked you, for the nth time.
She had a polished face, with black kajal and maroon lipstick,
wearing a black dress with a white leather jacket.
"Such a show off," I thought and instantly hated myself
for the malice that took over my love in an instant.
Love, that's not even mine, not anymore.
I locked the screen for a few seconds
and unlocked it to block you, again.
That was the only way to put a stop on my obsession.
At that moment, I saw you grinning beside her.
You were happy, like we were once.
Damn! Maybe more than that.

I had a sound sleep that night. .
