The beast in me is quite mean, folks often exclaim, Hunting in packs has always been part of my game. Ritual, loyalty and the spirit I symbolise, Trust in our head and the will to sacrifice is my claim. Predator of yore and the one which can spook, I howl on moonlit nights seeking to proclaim. Characteristics don't define me as I am sly, And the tricks of the book I have aren't all the same. I guard and I am fierce for those who trespass, I refuse a belt around my neck, I ain't tame. I have nothing to prove in this dark feared world, The timid shiver at the mere mention of my name.
