Bird With A Broken Wing Amidst the party of nature - serene spring Latched to the darkness, to grief it'd cling. Happiness became a facade, tormenting - To the bird with a broken wing. Like a ghost, drifting through days Head held down, society's piercing gaze. Lost within the mental maze Where Expectations & Frustration - Continue to chase. She sung her pain to the nature Judged & ridiculed, was labelled a failure. She did not choose such a behavior - Prisoner within, her mind the jailor. Harsh is the truth, But this is what communication brings To the birds with the broken wings. And that is why they choose to hide Carrying fake smiles, hurting deep inside. You swallow the regret, You misbehaved Now you wish they could be saved! They're gone, yet you ask around While their corpses wither in mental battleground.
