Resilience is a great deal. Day by day bouncing back to a normal routine after being infected by a virus isn't as easy as it seems.
However everyone sees the change with his/her own eyes. While I am engrossed with my recovery and coping with the news I gather from others, my 11 year old keeps hugging me, my elder one shows his concern by doing tasks and checking on me every now and then.
Today, while I was preparing dinner, my younger one came and complemented," You are doing your duties so well. I am proud of you." When you were not well and taking rest, I didn't kiss you because I wanted us to recover. I am glad you are cooking and taking care of your family so well mum." I didn't see that coming and was overwhelmed by such a cute gesture.
I hugged her and said," You missed me! " Don't worry everything will be as before soon dear.
Living together in isolation!

What shall I write other than urging everyone around to stay strong and be there for near and dear. I am into third week and still having slight cold issues. Friends have been calling to support morally. I feel blessed.
Trying to do the chores and being there for your loved ones is the greatest pleasure. Trying to do that.
Since morning, today, only one thing has been reverberating, we are mere humans not mighty enough to fight the pandemic away.
Everyone has to endure the pain with all his might and sustain to live.
I pray for everyone's well being and would like to say, health is wealth. Stay healthy, think healthy and pass on the good vibes. Let's hold our hands together and pray for everyone.

#Day10
Last year April/May I had penned down my thoughts here and this year the very first day prompt put me through the roller coaster of thoughts once again. But the fist day just co incided with my covid +tivity. I have been enduring it for 11 days now and am finally able to connect with my yq family after a break.
These ten days have been tough yet bearable, 'congested' yet breathable. The virus did attack but timely medication, rest, diet, care, everything has worked just right.
Gratitude is only my favorite word right now, to everyone around and to the Savior who gave me the the strength.
Having sinusitis and being covid + is a different story altogether. Shall share more soon.
Praying for the whole world 🌎 to be safe and healthy. Here's the #LockdownDay10 diary prompt. What did you do? How are you feeling today? Collab and share your #LockdownDiary stories with us. Please stay safe. And hope for a better tomorrow. :) #YourQuoteAndMine

Probably, I will miss writing this diary. Before this I have never spoken so much about my routine or thoughts on a social platform. For three days I have been busy with various things.
My maid has started working but I told her to join after a month. I feel let her start slow, it is not easy for her as well, taking up too many homes.
For a week now my younger one started kissing on my cheeks continuously. This made me a little conscious. Finally, yesterday we both understood the beautiful reason - it was revealed that, now the height is apt to reach my cheeks when I sit. Before she was shorter. So it is an accomplishment, after so many years she is able to reach my cheeks. I have no words, absolutely. I thank God for all the love he showers upon us humans, we find the most precious moments just in front of us, which come to us so naturally and unexpectedly.
I think such moments are what make our lives precious more than any achievement. If we can be there and share a bond with our loved ones, understand them nothing more like that.
Let's stay together, let's be there for each other and let's just accept each other as they are.
Stay safe, venture out, but take care.
Sai bless us ! Here goes the last prompt for #lockdowndiary. As lockdown opens up into #unlock1 tomorrow, we close this marvellous practice of diary. In summers what more does one need! Yeah, I am in awe, how much water we need and how much we use. I have been living on water for two days, it is so hot now. It has to be, May and June are the hottest months.
I save water to enjoy the free resource which is the elixir of life. How? I have placed buckets near Acs, aquaguard. I use that water for mopping, cleaning. Once in a while water the plants. Also when veggies, rice are washed, I collect the used water for plants. Somewhere I feel I have earned the right to use it. The way things are changing now is the acceleration phase, if we continue like this there will be water crisis soon, not only for gen z but for us the gen x. Those who have just started on YourQuote, young writers, brimming with life should understand and take this seriously.
Writing a diary for me is not mere fulfillment of meeting upto standards of a writer, but to be a human who along wih others has a responsibility to do his/her part for the earth.
Let's save water, use it wisely and also keep ourselves well hydrated.
Let's stay safe and healthy. Write your #lockdowndiary for #day60lockdown #YourQuoteAndMine

What can one write in such circumstances, saying I am fine and happy seems so mean, isn't it? The cyclone devastated the beautiful city of Kolkata and many other villages.
People are losing jobs, suffering due to inadequate facilities, covid-19 is the biggest game changer.
I write about what I did and how people like me, living in safe zones are managing their lives. But, the truth is,
somewhere there is a fear inside. How things will get back to normal, when will children play freely in the parks, these things really bother me.
I thank God but also pray for everyone's good health and life.
A dialogue form the movie Thappad really caught me totally. Sometimes being right doesn't give happiness. And it made me feel so lighter. I think we keep saying I want to be happy, but one can't be so in all the situations. Happiness is not a destination. It is a persuit like others, being right, honest, selfless etc. If you are virtuous, you tend to be happy, but not vice versa.
A lesson learnt, another day gone.
Stay safe, just try being green and be healthy. Write the #lockdowndiary for #day53lockdown #YourQuoteAndMine

A lot of changes in the last few days. People have started walking in my society. Markets have eateries and salons opened. The temperature has risen. The schools are going to give summer break.
I walked in my society for the first time in two months yesterday. It was a mixed emotional affair. With the bandana wrapped it was suffocating and some unknown fear was there. There was also a feeling of normalcy returning back.
The lives of maids, car cleaners, and contract workers is hit like hell. Otherwise cheery maid of mine is desperate to start work as her expenses are not met entirely. Though, some people like me are giving her full salary, some are not. The people who press clothes are unable to afford a square meal. A livelihood allows a man to spend according to his wish while getting help is temporary. It is not a problem solver. Returning to work is important and even after returning there is no guarantee that people will pour in the clothes as before.
How can we do something , so that such situations can be improved, is a difficult question.
I pray for everyone's health and safety 🙏
Hope life returns to normal soon.

Summers are here and so are mangoes, ice creams, milk shakes and water melons. What else does one need to keep his spirits high? Working in the day also has its own charm. My chores are done faster and I get time to spend with my younger one more.
I have also tried my hands on temporary mango pickle and it suffices our tastes to some extent.
But one thing that bothers me the most is sunlight, over-all sunlight is lesser than before. I am not talking about heat, but about the duration and intensity of sunlight. This year in winters due to pollution we couldn't have much of it and until recently it was cloudy every other day. April, May are actually very sunny, but clouds from no where covered the sky like a blanket. These unlikely changes don't seem very convincing.
I hope we learn to control our activities and work towards going green. It is the need of the hour. We shouldn't think that if not I someone else will do. Everyone has to do his/her best.
As we are collectively fighting Covid- 19.
At the end of the day, we have to stay safe, stay healthy. So that we can save our planet and future generations too.

51 days. Somewhere there's a story hidden to tell our grandkids. That we stayed home for 51 frigging days. Write your #lockdowndiary for #day51lockdown #YourQuoteAndMine Collaborating with YourQuote Baba

From daily to alternate days and now even then, I don't have much to write. I am in the same boat as #baba, there isn't anything new to write.
Writing needs to give that satisfaction after putting something on paper. But, when our mind just shuts and refuses to think because of monotony, our writing doesn't create that sense of completion.
I am a human first and then a writer, so I don't like writing something just for the sake of it.
I have been trying to break that monotonous routine by doing a new task daily. Yesterday, joined a group to read Sai Satcharitra and felt so light. I always wanted to read for others and now it is possible.
What I have realised over time is, when we start feeling we are a part of this world. Whatever name one gives, God/companion/intuition/inner voice etc, is with us we feel we are on the right path. And at that time it is important to not stray away from keeping calm, being humble and being compassionate. We should not think bad about others, we should think good and be postive and be self-confident. Only then we can change our immediate surroundings as favourable.
So let's improve, be there for ourselves and others.
Stay safe everyone!

Staying at home and talking about lockdown is a privilege indeed. My brothers had gone to hometown and couldn't go back to their city due to lockdown. Now, they had the privilege of staying in a country side🏞️ and a disadvantage of being way from home.
Yesterday, they safely returned back to their home and have to now stay quarantined for travelling across borders for 28 days. All is well that ends well.
Some contentment is there as my parents and brothers are together now.
Coming to the audio stories, kids have started sharing their stories and most importantly, thay have started reading.
The purpose of reading club is slowly getting fulfilled. New beginnings always fill our life with new excitement and if those help others too then there are no bounds of happiness.
Watching accomplished people in talk shows is so inspiring, after seeing many of them, I feel all of them learnt how to live with challenges, experiment and let go off their ego. They stayed grounded in successful endeavours and didn't give up when they lost. What a way to go!
Let's stay safe, let's also experiment, help our country become independent as Modi ji says.
All the best everyone.
