।। ओ३म् ।। ब्रह्मैवेदममृतं पुरस्ताद्‌ ब्रह्म पश्चाद्‌ ब्रह्म दक्शिणतश्चोत्तरेण। अधश्चोर्ध्वं च प्रसृतं ब्रह्मैवेदं विश्वमिदं वरिष्ठम्‌ ॥ यह सब कुछ अमृतस्वरूप 'ब्रह्म' ही है, इसके अतिरिक्त अन्य कुछ नहीं; 'ब्रह्म' ही हमारे सम्मुख है, 'ब्रह्म' ही पश्चात् है, हमारे दक्षिण में भी हमारे उत्तर में भी४, हमारे नीचे तथा हमारे ऊपर भी, यह सर्वत्र व्याप्त है। यह सम्पूर्ण अद्भुत विश्व केवल 'ब्रह्म' ही है। All this is Brahman immortal, naught else; Brahman is in front of us, Brahman behind us, and to the south of us and to the north of us4 and below us and above us; it stretches everywhere.
