Thanks and gratitude to Prof Cijo Joseph Chennelil, eminent poet and internationally acclaimed literary critic for his beautiful critical analysis of my piem 'A LOOK AT LIFE-45'.Thank you very much sir for wonderful words of appreciation Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-45"is a timely poem advocating for an ecocentric view of the world rather than an anthropocentric view of the world.Today we still follow that old paradigm of development wherein all activities of us human beings are concentrated upon ensuring maximum comfort level for us human beings here on this earth even at the cost of the survival of the flora and the fauna in this world.We are so immersed in this game of claiming the ownership of this world that we don't mind that the fate of the world dangles at a precarious position with the ecology,environment,nature and atmoshere of it highly impaired and damaged,the natural elements of the world are highly contaminated and polluted and the earth appears to be a waste land which is to be put back on the rails.The effect of global warming is for all of us to see with the temperature level of the earth skyrocketing like never before,due to the rise in temperatures of the earth,natural calamities do come to the earth thick and fast in the forms of hurricanes,the rise of sea level,the submergence of island nations around the world and the huge and massive replacement of the people.The point we human beings need to remember and imbibe into ourselves at this juncture is that to have a deeper understanding of our position here on this earth that is that this planet is not our exclusive realm alone rather it is a planet on which all creatures of this earth do have a natural claim as we do,so we need to co-exist with all the creatures here on this earth,if not we shall be slowly eradicated from this world because without them and an ecosystem of balanced nature,we can't ensure our survival for long.So what we need to do is to preserve and conserve this earth and hand it over to posterity in the way we have got it from our ancestors.We also need to make sure the sustainability of Mother Earth and we must follow sustainable developmental patterns as well and most importantly let us follow the principles of "Live and Let Live and Give and Take",that is the only way we can surge ahead in our lives,so let us envisage for the ushering in of an egalitarian and eclectic society.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of exquisite and marvellous nature making a clarion call to reformulate our strategies in terms of the ways through which we have to live in this world. Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-1"is a poem that envisages a world filled with cherished principles of life.All the material pleasures of life don't give us that ultimate union with the blissful being,for that everything that is worldly must be done away with or eschewed to the core,when we leave behind the desires and ways of the world,the true happiness surely would descend down upon us slowly but surely.It is time to go back to the drawing board in the sense that we need to go back to nature and should live a life in sync with nature all the ways,just think about the primitive human beings,in fact they didn't have tensions and worries and they always lived a life in consonance with nature,we present day human beings do have so many problems because of our rupture from nature in a subtle fashion,the more we alienate from nature,the more problems we put on our shoulders day in and day out.The world of make-belief sort that we live in would provide us with only comic relief,nothing else,for the real consolation we need can be had only through the Muse connected with literature,so that all our woes disappear in the thin air once and forever.The main problem we human beings encounter in our lives is that we loose our innocence,under no circumstances,that should happen to us,instead we should keep the innocent nature of our minds intact all throughout our lives so that we can lead a straight-forward,honest and sincere life.At the end of it all,we need to have hearts of humanity and humility to lead an upright and credible life.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature. Thanks and gratitude sir for your wonderful analysis of the poem in beautiful words Dear Smruti Ranjaniji, Your poem titled"A Look At Life-42" is a poem that brings into the forefront the salient features concerning life that we all need to practice in our day to day life.This life is to be a life that must be offered to others in selfless manner and services.We need to live our lives without expecting any reward from any quarters,we need to shed our desires so that we can be kept away from unhappiness all throughout our lives.If we engage in sharing than receiving in our lives,that can do us a world of good,we are subtly unhappy because we are more interested in receiving than giving freely to our fellow human beings.The funny thing about us human beings is that we are unhappy when we come to know about the happiness of our fellow human beings,this is the most selfish attitude of us human beings.We human beings all throughout our lives think about others,in fact we are so obsessed with what others do,as a result of which we often loose our peace of mind,we humans also have this imitation culture wherein we are so much interested in following others footsteps than having self-confidence attitude regarding our own personalities,talents,abilities and potentialities.If we are not happy about the successes of others,we can't be happy at all at any rate,we should have an open mindset to accept others joy and their successes in life,then only life will be a worthwhile thing indeed.To make matters worse,we live all throughout our lives with an attitude of jealous nature which can be very toxic and poisonous to ourselves in the long run.Let us all drive away our self-centred attitude and then come into the realm of love stock,block and barrel and every step of the way to lead a happy and contented life.Kudos to you for composing such a poem of magnificent nature.
